Overview:
The H-Impact Hackathon is a competitive, skill-driven event designed to challenge and showcase participants’ database development and analytical abilities using T-SQL with Microsoft SQL Server. This event is geared toward individuals with an intermediate to advanced understanding of SQL Server who are ready to put their skills to the test in a real-world, time-based environment.
Participants will be provided with SQL Server database backup files prepared by H-Impact’s staff. These backups must be restored on each participant’s machine and used to answer a series of progressively challenging questions that simulate real-world data and analytical scenarios.
Hackathon structure:
- Three separate databases provided via SQL Server backup files
- Three primary questions, each with multiple parts
- Questions focused on T-SQL development, data analysis, and problem-solving
- A final comprehensive question requiring answers from all three databases

Top prizes will be awarded to participants who correctly answer all questions, including the comprehensive final challenge. The prestigious H-Impact Hackathon Boss title will be awarded to the participant who completes all questions accurately in the shortest amount of time.
In addition to competition, the H-Impact Hackathon serves as a powerful networking opportunity. Career consultants and employers will be on-site to engage with participants about opportunities in database development, data analytics, and programming roles.
